A request for all the kicks, snares, hi-hats and rim shots to get wicked from Italy's Mattia Caso. The Momento Lab affiliate, a DJ since his early teens, comes to Clarisse with that special dancefloor sauce that bangs from Milan to the moon and back. Caso also has a happy habit of making the most desirable of dancefloor demands, after 2024's 'Bassline Up'.

Here’s the classic Clarisse sound, kind of retro, but subtly, knowledgably so. The stealthy ‘Get The Drummer’ is all drum machines plotting and scheming with loads of percussive fills and ticks firing in all directions. Bass is programmed to jack back to the 80s, and rap lyrics talk in code as Caso throws it back onto modern dancefloors. This one has the substance to go with the style, the muscle for the minimalism, and can nonchalantly kick down speakers.

‘80s Boys’ really goes to town on the drum pads, flexing the hardware on another beefed up retro-themed groove, like Caso has fired up his favourite old skool equipment and given it a 2025 turbo tuning. Glowing synth work comes into play anticipating the ducking of discotheque strobes from back when, but it’s all about the punch of the beats that keep Caso rolling and pumping for seven minutes of dancefloor pressure.
